AI Upaya Apps ("we", "us", "our", or "AI Upaya Apps") provides LinkedIn Comment Assistant, a Chrome extension that helps users generate relevant comment suggestions for LinkedIn posts using their own OpenAI API key.
This Privacy Policy explains what information LinkedIn Comment Assistant handles, how that information is used, how it may be processed by third-party services, and the choices available to users.
By installing or using LinkedIn Comment Assistant, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

LinkedIn Comment Assistant helps users create short and relevant comments for LinkedIn posts.
The extension can:
- Generate up to three comment suggestions for a LinkedIn post.
- Generate comments based on the content of the LinkedIn post.
- Provide Personal, Brand Marketing, and Both modes.
- Use an optional knowledge base for brand-related comments.
- Allow users to enable or disable emojis.
- Insert a selected comment into the LinkedIn comment field.

The extension does not automatically publish comments on behalf of the user. The user remains responsible for reviewing and publishing any comment.
2. Information the Extension Handles
2.1 LinkedIn Post Content
When you use the extension to generate comments, the extension may access relevant content from the LinkedIn post, including:
- Post text
- Caption
- Other visible post content required to generate a relevant comment
This information is used to generate comment suggestions.
The extension does not intentionally collect LinkedIn content for unrelated purposes.
2.2 OpenAI API Key
LinkedIn Comment Assistant requires users to provide their own OpenAI API key.
The API key is used to authenticate requests to the OpenAI API when generating comment suggestions.
Your OpenAI API key is stored using the extension's Chrome storage mechanism and is not intentionally transmitted to an AI Upaya Apps server.
Your OpenAI API key is your own credential. You are responsible for keeping it secure and for any OpenAI API usage or charges associated with the key.
We recommend that you do not share your API key with other individuals.
2.3 Knowledge Base
The extension optionally allows users to provide information about their company, brand, products, services, communication style, or other information that may be useful for generating brand-related comments.
The knowledge base may include information such as:
- Company information
- Product information
- Service information
- Brand messaging
- Communication guidelines
- Preferred tone of voice
The knowledge base is used to generate comments according to the mode selected by the user.
Users should not enter passwords, financial information, health information, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information into the knowledge base.
2.4 Extension Settings
The extension may store settings required for its functionality, including:
- Selected comment mode
- Emoji preference
- Knowledge base content

- Other extension preferences
These settings are stored using Chrome's extension storage mechanisms.

- Generate brand-related comments using the optional knowledge base.
- Remember extension preferences and settings.
- Insert the comment selected by the user into the LinkedIn comment field.
AI Upaya Apps does not sell user information or use the information handled by the extension to create advertising profiles.
4. When Information Is Sent to OpenAI
LinkedIn Comment Assistant uses the OpenAI API to generate AI-powered comment suggestions.
When you request comment suggestions, relevant information may be sent to OpenAI, including:
- LinkedIn post content required to generate the comment
- Relevant knowledge base information
- Instructions required to generate the requested comment
Information is sent to OpenAI when it is required to generate or recreate comment suggestions.
Selecting a comment that has already been generated does not require another AI request.
Using the Recreate option may generate another request to the OpenAI API.
OpenAI processes API data according to its own applicable terms and policies.
For more information, please review:
OpenAI API Data Usage Policies
5. No AI Upaya Apps Server for User Content
LinkedIn Comment Assistant is designed to use the user's own OpenAI API key when communicating with the OpenAI API.
AI Upaya Apps does not operate a separate backend intended to collect and store:
- LinkedIn post content
- Generated comments
- OpenAI API keys
- User knowledge bases
The extension communicates with OpenAI when AI-generated comments are requested.
6. Data Storage
LinkedIn Comment Assistant stores necessary extension settings using Chrome's extension storage mechanisms.
Depending on the extension's storage configuration and Chrome's behavior, information stored through Chrome extension storage may be associated with the user's Chrome browser profile and may be synchronized by Chrome where applicable.
AI Upaya Apps does not intentionally maintain a separate copy of these extension settings on its own servers.
Users can remove the extension or clear its stored data through Chrome.
7. Data Sharing
AI Upaya Apps does not sell or rent user information.
Information may be transmitted to third-party services when necessary to provide the extension's functionality.
The primary third-party service used by LinkedIn Comment Assistant is:
OpenAI
OpenAI provides the artificial intelligence service used to generate comment suggestions.
When a user requests an AI-generated comment, relevant information may be sent to OpenAI through its API.
OpenAI's handling of API data is governed by its applicable policies and terms.
